minyhungMinhyung launched his international career as a finalist in the 2013 Besançon International young conductor’s competition in France and the MDR Leipzig Conducting competition in Germany. Since then he has conducted to The North Czech Philharmonic Teplice, Erzgebirge Philharmonishes Orchester, philharmonishes Orchester Plauen-Zwickau, Dresden Staatsoperette, Ensemble El Pero Andaluz and Tongyeoung International Festival orchestra.
He completed his undergraduate degree in orchestral conducting at the Korean National University of Arts and went to study at the Hochschule für Musik Dresden for his Master’s degree. He practicipate in the Myung-whun Chung’s masterclass, hosted by Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra, and during the time, he met Leif Segerstam, Jorma Panula, Beat Furrer, Salvatore Sciarino, Rüdiger Bohn and Olivier Dejour for study and co-working.
Minhyung is currently in his first year of a Master’s degree studying conducting at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, supported by RCS Trust, with Professor Garry Walker.
