Caroline trained as a flautist at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, under the tuition of Edward Beckett. Following Post Graduate studies, she worked as both a freelance performer in solo and orchestral work, and in music education as a workshop leader and animateur. More recently this latter strand of work has grown with new and creative projects being commissioned almost full time. As a freelance facilitator she devises and delivers creative projects, working with orchestras, ensembles, venues, schools and specialist organisations (such as RNIB, The Family Place and I Can) to engage people of all ages in the enjoyment of high quality music-making.
Caroline has developed a vibrant career, working with many high profile organisations such as the Wigmore Hall and LSO, and she combines this with playing in many London ensembles, and studying piccolo with Andrew Lane. She has a long association with ERSO and has presented many of our popular children’s concerts.
