Ernest Read Symphony Orchestra

Concert 5 – Sunday 16 June 2019 – St John’s Waterloo – 6:30pm

This concert is part of the Waterloo Music Festival.

Concert dress is all black.  Please remember to bring a stand to all rehearsals.

Programme

Concerto will be played by the ERSO Soloist of the Year

Mahler Symphony No. 1  – 4 flutes (2nd, 3rd, 4th also piccolo), 4 oboes (3rd also English horn), 4 clarinets (B♭, A, C) (3rd, 4th also E♭, 3rd also bass clarinet), 3 bassoons (3rd also contrabassoon), 7 horns (F), 4 trumpets (B♭, F), 3 trombones, tuba, 2 timpani, cymbals, triangle, tam-tam, bass drum, harp, strings

Rehearsals (all Sundays at Camden School for Girls unless stated):

2 June             10am-1pm and 2-5pm

10am-1pm       Mahler

2 – 3.15pm       Mahler

3.45 – 5pm      Concerto with Henry, our fab soloist

 

9 June             1.30 – 5pm AT ST JOHNS. 

Includes public event to showcase key aspects of the Mahler for local residents with commentary from Chris

1.00pm            ERSO get into the church to begin setting up

1.30pm            orchestra rehearsal

2-3pm              public event for local residents as part of the Festival

3 – 3.30           break

3:30 – 5pm      orchestral rehearsal continues

 

16 June           2.30 – 5.30, concert 6.30 AT ST JOHN’S.

We will rehearse Mahler first at 2.30pm
